“How I Got My Agent” posts are something of a tradition in the online writing community. They provide so much comfort to querying writers navigating the heartache and endless waiting of the query trenches.

In time, I might write one of those. At the moment though, there’s too much work to be done for me to give it the attention it deserves!

Suffice it to say: I am now honored to say that I am now represented by Katie Grimm of Don Congdon Associates. I initially sent Katie a cold query, so I can officially consider myself a writer pulled from the slush. It does happen!

Katie has been a delight to work with so far: funny and easy to communicate with, with incredible editorial vision and a magical ability for helping me see a potential in my manuscript that I never dared to envision. We’re now going through revisions and preparing for submission.

Hopefully in the coming weeks and months I will have updates, but in the meantime, I need to get back to writing!
